Hometown: Highland Park, IL
Current location: San Francisco
Birth sign: Scorpio
I started Petite Ave because: I spent a lot of time and money looking for stylish clothing that fit and was frustrated with petite women being underrepresented in the fashion industry.
One of my goals this year: I just moved to LA, so I’m very excited to get to know the community here, continue building relationships with our brand partners, and build a presence for Petite Ave.
I’m inspired by: High achieving people with disabilities. One of my favorite examples is the winner of Master Chef: Christine Ha; A blind chef who won one of the toughest cooking competitions anywhere.
Someone I look up to: My siblings. They’re some of the smartest, nicest, and most ambitious people you’ll ever meet.
My day-to-day usually looks like this: My day always starts with a really healthy smoothie followed by responding to emails from customers and my team. I’ll then check to see which orders have to be fulfilled and work with my team to pick out pieces for each of our clients. Then it’s off to the post office to get our shipments out. Throughout the day I also usually have meetings with prospective hires and spend time working on more long-term, strategic initiatives for the company. At some point, I always take a break to run errands and exercise. At night, I’ll usually cook 3-4X per week, catch up on my favorite shows, and then do some more work before heading to bed.
Three words that describe my personal style: Classic, practical and comfortable
Weekday uniform: Jeans, a wrap top and my pink mules.
Outfit that makes me feel most confident: An A-line dress with heels
Fashion tip for fellow petite ladies: Figure out how to dress your body type. There are different pieces that work for every shape. This makes the shopping process easier and leaves you more confident and excited about what you’re wearing.
Perfect weekend: Exercising, a massage, and dinner with friends
Something most people don’t know about me: I have a pretty funny side to my serious personality
Favorite travel destination: Anywhere with a beach and great food
Where you’ll find me next: Exploring LA
